Schoondijke

Although the importance of agriculture in Schoondijke [Schwôndieke] has decreased, the agricultural character in and around Schoondijke is still clearly present. In the West Zeelandic Flanders village, the agricultural atmosphere recurs in the form of sculptures such as Het Paard (The Horse), De Zaaier (The Sower) and Het wassende graan (The Washing Grain). Landarbeiders (farm workers) by Jan Haas has been given a prominent place on the renovated village square. The Hulster windmill is open for visits every Saturday. You can also go there for freshly ground flour.
 
Agricultural Museum
Just outside the village, the permanent collection of old agricultural machines is supported by new changing exhibitions and new materials at Het Klinket Agricultural Museum.
